The short version

What Kevin's Logger stores, and where

Exercises, workouts, Sets (including the body weight you enter on a Set), notes, Exercise Setup details and your preferences are written to databases inside the app's own storage on your iPhone. There is no account to create and no Kevin's Logger server.

Kevin's Logger 2.0 does not read from or write to Apple Health, and does not sync through iCloud.

Data kept from an imported backup

A backup you import may contain data from features not available in this version — plans, Day Logs, Training Focus settings, Apple Health workout summaries and heart-rate zones, and InBody results. Kevin's Logger keeps that data only on this iPhone, includes it in your exports, does not show it in this version, and never sends it anywhere. Reset All Data deletes it.

Daily usage analytics

When Kevin's Logger becomes active — when you open it or return to it — it sends a single signal named appLaunched to TelemetryDeck, at most once per local calendar day per installation. Its purpose is to measure daily usage and which app versions are in use.

In Apple's privacy terms this is declared as Product Interaction and Device ID collected for analytics, not linked to your identity and not used for tracking.

TelemetryDeck is the only third party Kevin's Logger sends anything to, and it receives only the signal described above. It processes that signal as the app's analytics provider and provides the same or equal protection for it as this policy; see TelemetryDeck's privacy policy.

Photos and camera

Kevin's Logger 2.0 does not request photo-library or camera access.

Notifications

Rest-timer notifications are scheduled locally on your iPhone, and only if you allow notifications. Permission is requested only when you turn on background rest alerts in Settings. Locked and background alerts use the system default notification sound and may vibrate according to your iOS settings. The in-app rest timer works whether or not permission is granted.

Exports

Exports are files you create and control. Export All Kevin's Logger Data writes a .workoutlog.zip package containing your real records to the location you choose. Once you save or send one somewhere, it is governed by wherever you put it — so treat an export as you would any other personal file. Kevin's Logger reads a file only when you choose to import it.

If you contact support

Email sent to the address below reaches the developer with whatever you put in it: your email address, any device and version details you supply, your description of the problem, and any attachment you choose to send. It is used to answer you and for nothing else. Please don't attach exported packages unless they have been asked for — they contain your real training records.

Deleting your data

Settings → Reset All Data deletes all Kevin's Logger data on this iPhone, including any data kept from an imported backup. You confirm it by typing RESET, and it cannot be undone. Deleting the app also deletes its data. Files you exported earlier are separate, and stay wherever you put them.

The daily usage signal carries no identity of yours, so nothing in it can be matched to you for deletion. For any other question or request about your data, use the contact below.

Changes to this policy

This policy carries an effective date. When it changes materially, the effective date above changes with it.
